The 2011 Bay Area Golf Show returned to Northern California for the seventh-straight year with great bargains, giveaways and interactive events that have made both Varsity’s spring and fall shows so popular with Bay Area residents. Responding to input from both consumers and vendors, show owner and producer Varsity Communications, Inc. (888-367-6420) opted to relocate the show from San Jose (its home for the previous four years) to Santa Clara in order to be within easy driving distance for East Bay, South Bay and Peninsula golf consumers. The move also put the show at the confluence of the Bay Area’s high-end golf marketplaces, and allowed the show to take advantage of the award winning Santa Clara Convention Center.

Golfers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities came out to interact with the golf industry, buy equipment and services, take part in interactive exhibits and meet the organizations, businesses and individuals who administer the game. Located at the apex of one of America’s busiest golf regions, the Bay Area Golf Show created a venue for golf enthusiasts, manufacturers and professionals to come together and share their common passion for the great game of golf.

A $150,000 media campaign promoted the 2011 show, aided by media partners in print and radio. The promotion of the event covered all mediums and also included appearances and interviews by show organizers. The 2011 Bay Area Golf Show was made possible by the support of its sponsors, the countless volunteers who have given their time to the event over the years, the involvement of the exhibitors and the interest and enthusiasm of the golfing public.

A special thanks is also extended to the NCGA, which brings not only 105 years of its own history to the event, but also the history of the United States Golf Association, for which they are the regional representative as the guardian of the game.
